Ethel Louise Taggart

“Come Runnin”

Our sweet mother passed away in her sleep on June 22, 2012.

She was born on June 5, 1925 in Jerome, ID to Harry and Hulda Nims.  She married Lynne Taggart in 1945; he preceded her passing in 2003.

Ethel worked for thirty years in the editing and proof reading room of the Salt Lake Tribune where she was a foreman.  She was a “Pink Lady” for Harm’s Memorial Hospital in American Falls, Idaho.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society and she served on the Board of the Senior Center in American Falls.  Additionally, she was a consistent supporter for U.S. Veterans.

Ethel was an accomplished artist in quilting, embroidery and crochet.   She enjoyed reading, gardening and loved flowers.   She remained a fashionable lady and dressed ‘to the nines’ throughout her life.  Ethel was a loving mother of twelve, doting friend to her numerous beloved girlfriends.  She was a devoted Methodist.  Ethel was a strong, compassionate and fun lady.  We will so miss your breathtaking smile and engaging laughter, as well as your incredible pies.

She is survived by her children Daniel, Peggy (Felipe) Montoya, David, Paul, Wayne, Guy and Matthew (Ginger Shockey); grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded by her parents, and her children Diana Lynne, Marilyn, Jonathon, and Rebecca.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 26th at 11:30 AM at Aberdeen City Cemetery, 2665 West 1750 South, Aberdeen, Idaho.  Reception to follow at the American Falls Library, 308 Roosevelt Street, American Falls, Idaho.

The family would like to thank Elizabeth McQueen and the staff at the Heritage Place, the Access Hospice nurses Kristy Burnett and Audine Hamblin for the impeccable care and love they showed towards our mother.

In Loving Memory

You really make it seem so easy with your prietntaseon but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
