F. Scott Bollinger
September 3, 1949 - February 15, 2014
Scott of Holladay, UT passed away the morning of February 15, 2014 due to heart complications. He was born to the late Betty and Joseph Bollinger on September 3, 1949 in Salt Lake City. He was one of six children.
Scott graduated from Highland High School and studied at the University of Utah. He spent many of his days working as a third-generation cobbler at the family business. He married Faith Prudence on May 3, 1976 and they were the proud parents of Jesse, Elizabeth and Christina. He had five beautiful grandchildren who adored him, delighted in his cooking and boisterous laugh. They affectionately knew him as Butkey named so by his oldest grandchild, Dylan. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf, gardening, cooking for his family and spending time with his best friend Whitey. Later in life he loved the company of his four-legged companion Aries. Scott always had a story to tell and was often the center of a crowd making everyone laugh. He had a good time wherever he went and always made others feel welcome. He will be sorely missed. We love you, Butkey.
Scott is survived by his wife Faith; son Jesse (Ashley) and their daughters Stella (4) and Rowan (1) and his son Dylan (16); daughter Elizabeth (Danny) and their daughter Marlee (11); daughter Christina (Robert) and their daughter Scout (2 months); brother Ron; and sisters Anne and Tina. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Joseph and sister Joan.
Graveside service for Scott will be held Friday at 12:00 pm at the Salt Lake Cemetery, 4th Ave "N" Street, Salt Lake City.

The Wetzel's want due extend our condolescenes to the family. We are shocked at the timing and late notice but want you to know Scott was a great cousin to me. He did the best he knew how, loved his family, and took good care of them. May God be with you now and always. Now he is in peace with his parents, brother and sister. Love The Wetzel's

Dear Faith, Buffy, Jesse, Christina, I can not even imagine the grief you are feeling at this moment because I too am overwhelmed with grief as if I had seen Scott only yesterday. My memories are as fresh as the day they were made and Scott will always be in my thoughts and will be part of my make up as a person. I will never forget any of it, what we did how we grew together. He will always, always be with me. Love to you all, Jerry

It was a shock and a great sadness to see that Scott had passed away. Over the years I've lost track of him, but would ask Jeff Jensen if he'd seen him and how he was doing. I knew that Scott was sick, but did not know he was so ill. I have wonderful memories of being introduced to Scott, and Whitey, and others of Jeff's friends when Jeff and I were in law school. To me, the pleasure of meeting Scott was all mine, and I derived a great deal more out of our friendship than he did. Scott and the family are in my prayers and thoughts.
