Tia was blessed with 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way.
Tia is also survived by her siblings: brother, Aki Tauiliili (Anna) of Tapueleele, Savaii; brother Aupaia Atina (Lupe) of Auckland, New Zealand; brother Mekaeli Tauiliili (Diana) of Tapueleele, Savaii; sister Puletini Slade (Doug) of Cedar Hills, UT; sister Dawn Selu of Orem, UT; brother Peteriaka Tauiliili (Faamanuiaga) of Maagiagi, Apia Samoa; sister Roketi Nauma (Sauileone) of Pago Pago Am Samoa, and sister Paneta Fiu of Sili, Savaii Samoa.
Tia is preceded in death by her mother and father, her eternal sweetheart Benjamin Purcell Solovi Sr., and brothers Anapogi Tauiliili Sr. and Mekisateko Tauiliili.
Tia loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. She was a woman of many talents, loving to sew, cook, bake, and possessing a beautiful singing voice. She was well-known in the Samoan Communities across the Utah valley for her half-moon pineapple pies.
Tia lived a life of service, always giving away any extra pineapple pies or banana bread to the elderly in her ward, people she would meet in her local bank, grocery stores, to her neighbors, and to family and friends. She loved to cook for church and family gatherings.
Her final services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at the Rose Park 15th Samoan Ward Chapel on 1155 North 1200 West. The schedule is as follows: 9:00 am Family Service, 12:00 pm Bishop’s Service, 2:00 pm Burial at Redwood Memorial Mortuary & Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Rd.
