Fran “Franny” Germaine Benoit Blackson
December 9, 1936 - April 16, 2025

Our beautiful momma was finally able to go fishin’ on April 16, 2025 . She was born Frances Germaine Benoit,(though she only answered to Fran). With bright, curly red hair and a contagious laugh, she had a special gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.
As a devoted wife, loving mother, playful grandmother, and adoring great‑grandmother, her presence was the heart of every family gathering. Those lucky enough to know her experienced her warmth, love and unforgettable sass.
Fran’s passions were simple yet so truly her. Whether she was doing hair and swapping laughter-filled stories, watching grandkids run through the yard, casting a line into a still morning lake with her honey, cheering on the Utah Jazz with boundless enthusiasm, or losing herself in a swoon-worthy romance novel, she embraced life with a sparkle in her eye and a joke on her lips.
Her laughter still echoes in our hearts, her kindness lives on in the lives she touched, and her legacy of love and joy will guide us always. We’ll remember her in every shared smile, every family joke, and every quiet moment when her spirit feels near.
Survived by her children—Kim, Lisa, and Craig—her thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great‑grandchildren. She rejoins her sweetheart Virge; her daughters Lori and Norma her granddaughter Megan; and her parents, Lawrence Rosario and Frances Norma Benoit.
A memorial service will be planned in the next couple months, her wish was to have her ashes placed next to her daughter Lori at Rockport Resort in Utah.
