Frances Elsie Begay passed away at the age of 51 on January 23rd, 2010.
She was born in Sanostee, NM to Elsie Begay and was raised by Rita Lee Begay. She graduated from Intermountain Inter-Tribal School in Brigham City, UT and attended Weber State University in Ogden, UT. In 2008, she celebrated 10 years of service at Snowbird Ski Resort.
She cherished her many friendships in the Salt Lake City community where she spent 30 years of her life.
Fran was inspired by her Navajo culture and was dedicated to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters Jennifer Begay of Ogden, UT, Cassandra Begay of Concord, NC, Sonseeahray Begay-Rodriquez Farmington, NM; one son John Livingston of Farmington, NM; four grandchildren Tashina, Anthony, Mark, and Lydia; and good friend Dave Nasland of Salt Lake City.
A celebration of her life for family and close friends will take place on Wednesday, January 27th from 6 to 9 PM at Johnnys On Second, 165 East 200 South, SLC, UT 84111.
Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of St. Marks Hospital for their utmost care and treatment.
