On November 16th we lost our dear husband, father, grandfather and friend, Fred Youssi. Fred was born and raised in Illinois and was a dairy farmer before joining the Wurlitzer Piano Company, where he retired at the age of 65 as Vice President of Manufacturing. After retiring, he vowed not to buy green bananas or magazine subscriptions because he didn't think he'd be around long enough to enjoy them. Nonetheless, he lived another 28 years, taking his last breath at the age of 93 with his wife by his side and surrounded by family and friends. Fred's greatest pleasures were the feel of the sun on his face and sitting next to Delores in front of a crackling fire.
Special thanks to the caregivers at Brookdale Senior Living and Summit Health and Hospice for their loving kindness. A privately service will be held at time of interment.
