Gayle D. Cherrington
June 15, 1945 - March 9, 2014
Family; Did I choose you or did you choose me? No matter, you are mine and I am yours, and it will always be!
Gayle Denison Cherrington passed away March 9th, 2014, in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 68. Due to complications of Progressive SupraNuclear Palsy. She was born in Salt Lake City to Homer M. and Eva L. Denison. She attended Irving Jr. High and South High School. Gayle married Wm. James Clark in 1964. They later divorced after having two daughters together, Aimee and Michelle. In March 1988, she married Michael L. Cherrington, the love of her life.
Gayle worked for many years as a secretary for Mtn. Fuel Supply Company and Northwest Pipeline. Her secretarial skills were unbeatable. Along with her eye for color and the ability to turn everywhere she went into a place of beaut, she was an avid gardener, her yard was her masterpiece, and she knew the name of every tree, flower and shrub.
Gayle was a woman of great style, dignity and class. Her taste was unique and unmatched, but mostly, Gayle was a loving wife, intuitive mother and devoted grandmother. If Gayle loved you, you knew it, because she said it, showed it and lived it.
Gayle was preceeded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her husband of 26 years Michael Cherrington; daughters Aimee (Mike) Henderson, Michelle (Kevin) Moore; 5 beloved grandchildren Karly, Jake, Nick, Jayda and Izak; and a sister Kathleen Karsch.. We will miss you terribly!
A celebration of Gayle's life will be held on Saturday, March 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building.
Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.starksfuneral.com.

"Only in the agony of parting do we look into the depths of love." George Eliot Aimee and I have been friends since 1978. I have known Gayle and admired her lovely homes, her love for her family (especially Aimee and Michelle), her classy ways and her sharp wit. My heart is heavy with sadness for your dear family at this time. My heart is also light and full of hope because of the abundance of love you share with each other. I know Homer and Eva are happy to be with her again. She leaves behind a loving, dear husband, two daughters and their supportive husbands as well as five beautiful grandchildren. What a wonderful legacy to remember her by!
