Genevieve M. Coombs

Gone to the Lord

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and “grandma-great” passed into heaven on December 26, 2010.

She was born April 10, 1934.  She married George Coombs on February 11, 1957 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine.   Jenny was very devoted to her Catholic faith and anticipated the day she would meet Jesus.    She was a very loving and caring woman who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She leaves behind her husband of 53 years; her son Tony; daughters Christine Achter, Elizabeth Quinn; and numerous other extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Paula.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 29th at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 450 East 2100 South , Salt Lake City.  A vigil will be held on Tuesday, December 28th at 7:00 pm with a viewing beginning at 6:00 PM, also at the church.  Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue & “T” Street, Salt Lake City.

 We love you, Mom.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I pray the sure hope found in the bible will bring comfort to your hearts. "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear the voice of Christ and come out." (John 5:28,29 Acts 24:15) And the life to be enjoyed when this takes place is almost to wonderful to contemplate. Revelation 21:3,4
