Genevieve Frances McCauley

Genevieve Frances (Scott) McCauley, 93, of Sandy, Utah, passed away on March 2, 2018.
She was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, November 1, 1924; Graduated from Pittsfield High School and from Saint Luke's Hospital as an X-ray technician. Retired from GE Naval Ordnance in 1986. Left Massachusetts and moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she worked for Dunes Reservations. In 2009, she moved to Sandy, Utah. She enjoyed Bingo, card games and dominos with family and friends, crossword puzzles, golf, reading, occasional trips to nearby Casinos, and spending time with her extended family.
The daughter of Douglas Louis Scott and Mary Ellen Connelly, she was the last surviving of her six siblings. Preceded in death by great-grandchild Genevieve Helen McCauley. Survived by her son, William Thomas McCauley (Maria), four grandchildren – Douglas Louis, Michael Peter, Matthew Patrick (Alexandra), and Meghan Kathleen McCauley; one great-grandchild, Sophia Grace McCauley. She also leaves several heartbroken nieces, nephews, and their families, as well as close friends from Utah and Myrtle Beach.
A celebration of life Mass will be celebrated on March 7, 2018 at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Draper, Utah. In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated and inurned at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, at a future date.
