Genevieve Helen McCauley
October 8, 2012 - March 4, 2016
Genevieve Helen McCauley received her angel wings shortly after 1:00 pm on Friday, March 4, following complications from a lifelong illness. Evie, as she was affectionately known, spent her final moments in peace surrounded by close family.
Although Evie struggled with illness her entire life, her courage and strength of character was such that she was always laughing and making sure others were happy, even to the point of regularly thanking the nurses and techs after they had to draw her blood or give her "quick quick quicks".
Evie loved music, dancing, tea parties, and introducing her sister Sophia to the world. Her smile lit the room and her laugh was infectious.
Evie was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Barbara Griggs-Martin. She is survived by an extended family, who wish to thank Evie's medical army from IMC and Primary Children's for their untiring support and care.
A viewing will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 300 East 11800 South, Draper, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM. Committal to follow at Larkin Sunset Garden, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Evie's name to:
