Gerald Hyrum Cook, age 75, of Mt. Emmons, Utah returned home to his father in heaven on December 8, 2011, from CareSource in Salt Lake City.
He was born November 2, 1936 in Bluebell to Isaac Smith and Ina Bristol Cook. He married Jackie Jamison, Helen Feregson, and Ranae Tominson. He had five children.
Gerald was a dairy farmer and worked for Nielson Ricks Creamery in Altamont. He loved being outdoors, gardening, hunting and taking care of his animals. He loved his children and grandchildren. Gerald had a huge heart and helped a lot of family members and friends his whole life. He will be truly missed.
He is survived by children John Jamison of Salt Lake City, Betty Jo Lankford of Roosevelt, Lori Ann Rose of North Salt Lake, Travis Gerald (Shannon) Cook of Vernal, Billy Jo Cook of Monticello; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brothers and sisters, Everett Cook of Oregon, Melva Bird of Bluebell, Delmore Cook of Mt. Emmons, Lola Oberhansly of Craig, Colorado.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Chris Cook; and sister Melvra Babcock.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on December 16th 2011 at Altamont Stake Center at 11:00am
