May 30, 1934 - February 28, 2014

Surrounded by her loving family, Geri age 79, died peacefully on February 28, 2014 at her home in Taylorsville after a struggle with brain cancer. Geri was born May 30, 1934 in Plymouth, Utah, the daughter of LuElla Virginia Smith and Ernest W Nish. She was the oldest of 3 children. She learned early in life the importance of family and hard work. Robert and Geri met on a blind date and were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple April 3, 1953. They raised 4 children in Rose Park. She retired from the USPS as the Manager of Personnel after 20 years of service. She made many lifelong friends there and her work ethic was like no other. After Geri retired they would spend their winters in Quartzsite, AZ and St. George, Utah. She was a great cook. She was talented and spent hours making craft projects for her homes and family.  She enjoyed scrap booking and making cards for special occasions. She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends.  She loved her family and it showed in everything she did. Geri was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving faithfully in many callings. Geri was generous, kind, compassionate, genuine and loved people unconditionally.  She was loved by all that knew her.

Geri leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Robert L. Littlewood; daughter, Teri Mitchell; two sons, Brent (Diana) Littlewood and Kent (Eyvonne) Littlewood; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; her sister LaRae (Ronnie) Almond, her brother Terry Nish and a large extended family and many lifelong friends. Geri was a thoughtful and loyal person. Her love for our Dad was endless! Mom and Dad were a great example and provided much happiness, harmony and unconditional love in our home.

In Loving Memory

My prayer goes out to the Littlewood family, I would like to express my condolence at this time to your family. The Bible is a great source of encouragement at times like this, a comforting thought is at Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away"

I'm so sad to hear of Geri having passed. Geri & I worked together for the Postal Service. We saw many changes, weathered the hard times, celebrated the good ones and through it all, Geri was a rock. I look back in fondness of her friendship & support. The last time I spoke with her she said "Don, you were absolutely the best Employment Officer we ever had" Nice words from a grand lady! She is missed!
