Born August 31, 1923; died October 23, at a care facility due to a long and well lived life.
She was able to enjoy a wonderful 90th birthday party in August with many of her family and friends in attendance. Her positive spirit and joy for life were very much in evidence that day and she got to visit with everyone and spoke often afterwards about how blessed she was to have had that gift.
She married Paul Case in 1942 and was the mother of ten children. Paul was drafted into the Army and Gloria joined him in Fort Lewis, WA before he was shipped to Europe and often said those were the happiest days of her life. She loved everything about being part of "The Greatest Generation" and enjoyed the music all her life.
She is survived by nine children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and two sisters.
A wake will be held on Sunday, October 27th from 6 to 8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of the building. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Oct 28th at 11:00 AM at Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave and "N" Street, Salt Lake City.
