Grace Maleia Helm

May 31, 2002 - December 22, 2025

Our sweet, sassy Grace, 23, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2025. She fought her chronic illnesses-and the pain and suffering she endured because of them-with immense strength and courage. In the end, her body could no longer bear the burden.

A bright spirit and a generous soul, Grace fought fiercely for her family, her friends, and everything she believed was right. She was a light in every life she touched, possessed a gift for making anyone laugh, and was never afraid to be unapologetically herself. She loved to read, assemble Lego sets in record time, and giggle with her friends. She also loved to play games with her family, especially when she won. Grace was an incredibly strong advocate for herself and for those around her. She is greatly admired for her strong will and persistence, and especially for helping to nurture a community of support for those bearing similar health burdens. Her dream was to attend PA school so she could research and combat the dysautonomic disorders that she and her dear friends fought against every day.

Grace is survived by her parents, Laura Moseley Helm and Bob Helm; her brothers, Jonah and Lucas Helm; her bonus sister, Ruby Winter; her grandparents, Claudia “Honey” Moseley and William “Papa” Moseley; her aunts, Jennifer Moseley Davidson and Leslie Helm Stone; her great aunt, Sharon Berlin; her uncle, Hal Stone; her cousins, Haidyn Moseley, Harry Stone, and William Stone; and so many others who loved Grace so much. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Sandra “Lovey” Helm and Frank Helm and her uncle, Mark Helm.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 31st from 5-7 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S 900 E, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the parking and entrance on the north side of the building. In honor of Grace, please wear pink.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Grace’s memory can be made to pcaresfoundation.org.

Grace’s laughter, resilience, and passion for helping others left an imprint that will never fade. Her light will continue to shine through all who love her.

Run wild and be free sweet girl. We love you more than the stars in the sky and the sand on the beach.

In Loving Memory
