Grayson Andrew Hatfield

October 27, 2005 - May 10, 2026

Grayson’s last weeks of life were spent riding roller coasters in Missouri while traveling with his grandma, Cathi, who graciously offered her time so that he could practice traveling independently, and gleefully forcing Reagan and his parents to ride even more roller coasters at Six Flags, New Jersey.
His entire life, Grayson aspired to bigger and better, be it magic tricks, long-distance running, biking, rock climbing, amusement parks, or skydiving. Any other activity, in his opinion, was a severe failure to live his “best, most fulfilling life.”

For the past three years, he had been living semi-independently at Scenic View Academy in Provo, Utah, an exceptional program designed to teach essential life skills to autistic young adults. When asked his opinion about being autistic, Grayson simply replied, “I like it. It just feels normal.”

Grayson is survived by his loving family – his parents: Arin and Corey, his siblings: Caleb, Rylee, Jacob, and Reagan, his grandparents Wayne and Cathi Aigaki and Lilla Hatfield, his aunts and uncles: Jenna and Beau, Dani and Kent, Joetta and Dave, and Justin, along with many beloved cousins,  extended family members, and devoted friends.
Trisagion will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 6:00 at Saint Spyridon Orthodox Church, 807 W 29th St, Loveland, CO. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 10 AM, also at Saint Spyridon.  Makaria will follow.  Grayson will be laid to rest privately by his family.

Donations may be made to Scenic View academy – scholarship fund – at 5455 River Run Ave. in Provo, Utah in Grayson’s name.

May his memory be eternal!

In Loving Memory

I was so struck by the photo of Grayson in his obituary- it says so much. I didn’t know Grayson; I was introduced to him through his obituary, he sounds like an amazing person who enjoyed life and his accomplishments and taught many people a lot about life. May he rest in peace and may his family be strengthened by the wonderful memories of having him while you did. What a special human being!

To me he was like a brother, a sibling that I never had. He would always want to show me magic tricks and each time they amazed me.

Grayson taught me how to play Rumy. We were always playing rumy in class, and we were competitive! Everytime I play with my son I think of Grayson. He brought me so much joy as a student. He tried so hard at everything and he was willing to fail and try again!! To see him have success truly gave me purpose as a teacher. I am so sad at his passing and I will never, ever forget him.
