Greg Christopulos
February 14, 1958 - January 8, 2015
Greg Sam Christopulos, a loving son, an awesome brother, a great uncle and wonderful friend passed away on January 8, 2015 in Sherman Oaks, California. He was born on February 14, 1958 to Stella and Plato Christopulos. We always teased him about being a Valentine’s baby, and we know he always wanted to change his birth date, especially when he was younger. He grew up in Salt Lake City and attended Beacon Heights Elementary, Hillside Jr. High, Highland High School, University of Utah, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Westminster College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. After obtaining his second degree, Greg moved to Southern California where for the past 30 years he worked as a CPA for KPMG, Skechers, MXG Media and Warner Bros. Greg enjoyed playing tennis and basketball, jogging, biking, hiking and overall spending time outdoors. We were fortunate (his family & Salt Lake City friends) that he almost always spent his vacations in Salt Lake City, where during the days he would go biking/hiking and during the evenings he would spend time with family and meet-up with long time friends. He enjoyed biking so much in Salt Lake City, that he bought a Second Bike that he stored at Mom’s, so he would always have a bike available to him during his visits home. Greg was a kind and caring man, with the best smile, big dimples, and the most contagious laugh. We will miss him dearly and he will always be in our prayers and thoughts. He is survived by his brother, George (Karen), sisters, Annette and Cynthia (Mike) Ahlstrom, nephews, Nick (Chasity) and Zac (Soula), great nephews, Corbin and Connor, and many dear Friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Plato and Stella, and dear sister, Estelle. Greg has been laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery, near his parents and sister.
MAY YOUR MEMORY BE ETERNAL.
In Loving Memory
Greg and I were coworkers at MXG and have remained friends in the 15 years since. It was a regular thing for Greg, John Zutaut, Scott Hess and I to get together for dinner or drinks or a very friendly ga'me of cards. I will dearly miss Greg's smile and gentle friendly nature. I only left LA last September relocating to Chicago. I am sorry I was unable to attend the memorial in SLC and will not be in SoCal for the one there either. Rest now my friend, lay down you sword and shield. Your wars are over and you have earned your rest.
