Henry R. Rodriguez Sr.
April 27, 1935 - February 24, 2018
Henry passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on February 24, 2018. He was born April 27, 1935, son of Crisantos Rodriguez and Thelma L. Rodriguez-Gutierrez.
Henry married his childhood sweetheart Kathleen Lindsay on November 21, 1959 at the Cathedral of the Madeline. During their life together they raised seven children, enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, wendover trips, and family time. He enjoyed his life long career as a painter, and enjoyed his time at Stampin Up! Our Dad enjoyed spending time with his family, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Henry enjoyed being around and meeting people, listening to his music and having an occasional drink. He could carry on a conversation about almost anything. He was very proud of his heritage, he loved telling stories about his family and could easily talk for hours. He was very supportive of us in everything we had done. He would always be our cheering section in everything we did whether it was an orchestra concert, wrestling matches, softball/baseball games, dance recitals, birthdays, or school achievements. Henry always taught his children that family is always important, and to be there for one another.
Henry is survived by his children Carmen Tucker, Kathryn Rodriguez, Sharon Armijo, Chris Rodriguez, Charlotte (Juan) Maestas, Amy (Shad) Allred, brother Bernardo Gutierrez, sisters Agnes (Fred) Watford and Darlene Renteria, and many grand children and great grand children.
Henry is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years Kathleen Rodriguez, son Henry Jr. and son-in-law Pete Armijo. His parents Crisantos and Thelma, brother Frank Gutierrez, and grandsons Jacob Armijo and baby Dale.
