uncle herman marie and me were truely blessed to be able to grow up with you.the memories you left us as little kids and through our teen years will never be forgotten. you were the original homie with your shades and trench coat and hip lingo. you always wanted to hang out with us, how cool was that.you never knew this but when the guys would see me in town with you and your buddies i would tell them that you were my gang, noobody messed with me lol.i miss you tio and i love you.silvian.

Julia, and family, I wrote Herman a note, but I wanted you to know that I thank you for all the love and support you gave to my brother. He couldn't have asked for more, and I thank you for that, and I know that we will miss him, but I also know how empty your lives will be without him. Pops I am going to miss you so much. I am still trying to correct the grandkids from saying grandpo to grandpa but it doesn't work they all say he is grandpo, not to mention they all have different opinions on what we should do or songs to play but am afraid of how it would turn out (omg). Uncle Herman you are going to a wonderful place. No one will ever replace you, your great wit,or your true Chicano style. We don't always share the time we should with the ones we love, nor do we express our feelings to them.
