Irvin Nelson

August 5, 1947 - January 6, 2021

With great sorrow and heavy hearts we are sad to announce on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, Irvin Nelson, loving father, brother and uncle, passed away at age 73.
 
Irvin was born on August 5, 1947 in Fort Worth, TX. He was passionate about life, adored his family and enjoyed spending time with loved ones. Irv would look forward to BBQ's, playing cards and gatherings all the while being the life of the party. He loved his community and his cars. He was a well rounded sports fan, enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling and he was also an avid music lover. His laughter and smile was infectious, as was his kind and compassionate spirit.
 
Irvin was preceded in death by his father John and his mother Margarette, four brothers and two sisters. He is Survived by daughter, Rebecca Nelson. Siblings; Johnny (Berena) Grant, Donna Lou Harris, Pat Jackson, Irwin Nelson and Dolly (Ricky) Lego, several cousins, nieces, and nephews all of which he adored. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Doctors and staff of the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center for their tender care, support and kindness. Due to the pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
