Isaac Marcus Martinez

July 18, 1993 - September 5, 2008

Isaac M. MartinezMissed & Never Forgotten7/18/1993 – 9/5/2008 Our beautiful and precious son was tragically taken from us in an automobile accident on September 5th, 2008.  Our lives will never be the same without him. He was born July 18th, 1993 in Salt Lake City, UT to Lori and James Martinez.  He loved listening to his IPOD, playing video games and texting on his new cell phone.  He also liked being with his family for BBQ’s, playing his guitar with his brother and grandpa, and he always had fun going on vacation no matter his destination.  He was an avid sportsfan who loved watching the fights, watching basketball (especially the Lakers—Kobe was #1!), and wrestling with his dad, brother and uncle Ross.   Isaac lit up every room with his huge, happy smile and big, bright eyes.  He loved telling jokes to make others laugh.  Most of all, Isaac was a very happy young man who loved his family and was always ready with hugs and kisses. He is survived by his parents; best friend and older brother Nikko; grandparents Ross and Geri Valdez, and Irene Martinez; great-grandparents; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his great-grandma Elsie Valdez; great-aunt Ene Arellano; cousin Gina Marrelli; grandpa Fred Martinez; uncle Carlos Garcia; great-grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Maestas and Mr. & Mrs. Martinez, and great uncle Nick Maestas. Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 11th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns, where a vigil service will begin at 7:00.  Funeral Mass of the Angels will be celebrated on Friday, September 12th at 2:00 PM, also at the church.  Interment to follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor.   “Mommy and Daddy miss you so much baby.”  “I’ll miss you little brother.”

Lori, James and Nikko - I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Lori at OC Tanner for 5 years. I remember meeting Isaac and each time I meant him, he would melt my heart. He was such a beautiful, funny young man. He was and is very lucky to be born into a wonderful family. Always remember the good times and keep them close to your heart. I truly believe that you will be with Isaac once again. He will now be your guarding angel. When you feel sad and lonely, think of Isaac and it will bring a smile on your face. Isaac, stay close with your family as they will need your strength to help them thru this difficult time. Always remember that your family loves you and that they will never forget you. You will always be in there hearts. Isaac, you were truly blessed to have such a wonderful family for the short time you were here. I know you touched so many lives, you touched mine. Please call me any time you want to talk. I know what you are going thru. I will do what ever I can to help you thru this difficult time. My cell # is 801-712-4172.
