In Loving Memory
May you live in joy in other realms, dear JDđš. Your heart was always in the right place. You never hesitated to jump in and lend a helping hand to those in need, and usually it was with that great big smile of yours. You have wings now, free from earthly shackles, and may that bring peace to your loved ones.đ

My condolences to the family. I met JD over 29 years ago. I only knew him briefly but he left an impression. I remember a very big strong man with a calm, gentle patience and a big bright smile. He was easy to speak with and so welcoming and accepting of everyone around him. Many years on I became friends with his daughter Delina. She has the same gentle, easygoing and accepting nature about her; A beautiful tribute from JD to this world.

JD you are one of the kindest and most caring ,loving humans I have ever known. I have missed you since I returned home to my country and miss you so much more now. You always so proud of your girl Delina and for good reason -she really is so much like you . You are now one of the angels looking over us all. Love and miss you and your amazing smile â¤ď¸

J D was my upstairs neighbor for four years. He was the best neighbor anyone could have ever asked for, and soon became my close friend. He almost always had a football in his hands as he took his frequent walks to Central Park in South Salt Lake, and he was constantly encouraging my 5-year-old son in his attempts at playing football and baseball. He was extremely generous with both his time and his treasure with his neighbors, and gifted several extra household items he had (lamps, fans, mattresses, etc.) to neighbors who needed some extra help. He always kept his eye on the apartment complex and was the unofficial neighborhood watchman of Blair Street. I am truly heartbroken at his passing, and to his family I send my most sincere condolences. J D, I know you are in a better place where the sun is shining, the weather is warm, a basketball court and football field are nearby, a Trader Joe's is right next door, and the Cowboys always have a winning season. My son and I will miss seeing your infectious smile each day. Love you, brother . . . may perpetual light shine upon you.
