Jack Naylor
December 25, 1999 - April 11, 2017
Christian, son, brother, friend, and athlete – Jack Naylor passed away Tuesday, 11 April 2017 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was 17 years old and a junior at Judge Memorial Catholic High School.
Jack was born in San Diego and lived in Arizona before growing up in Utah. Jack attended Washington Heights Church where he often helped out in the children's ministry. Jack was an avid skier, racing on the Ogden Valley Ski Team, and football player, receiving interest from numerous schools including Utah, Arizona, Purdue and Cal. As an athlete, Jack shared his love of sports with special needs kids playing in an annual basketball tournament.
Jack was an intelligent, sensitive, warm-hearted person who was kind to everyone. He was a charismatic, gregarious and affable young man, always the one friends turned to. If asked to jump he would respond "How high?" He was born on Christmas Day and, through organ donation, will save lives on Easter, following the example of his commitment to Christ.
He leaves behind his heartbroken family, dad Sean, mom Kim and sister Mary. Jack's life will carry on through Donate Life (https://www.donatelife.net).
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would appreciate donations in Jack's name to either The Memorial Day 100 Run (memorial100day.run/) or Make-A-Wish Foundation (wish.org). Jack loved his dad's Marine buddies and was going to run in the Memorial Day relay this year to support them. This year's relay will include Jack as an honorary host. Make-A-Wish has been important to Jack and the family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 21st at 4:00 PM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Salt Lake City. A Celebration of Life will follow at St. Vincent's Holy Family Hall.

I was so sad to read Jack's obituary in today's paper. I remember the sparkle in his eyes, the mischief in his smile, and the brightness of his being. I am grateful to have been his teacher and send my prayers and love your way. The world has lost a special spirit.
