Jacob Knaub

August 27, 1961 - December 7, 2015

Jack Knaub passed away on Monday, December 7th due to complications from cancer.

Jack was born in Fort Morgan, CO. on August 27, 1961 to Jacob Knaub Jr. and Nancy Schlotthauer. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in Colorado and remained close to his high school friends throughout his life. Jack was an avid golfer, fly fisherman and loved watching his favorite NFL teams and fantasy football league with his son Jake. He enjoyed practicing yoga at Centered City Yoga and attending outdoor music concerts with his family and friends. Jack was vibrant, healthy and active until his cancer diagnosis last March. He continued to have a positive outlook as he fought the battle with pain and disability. He was a loyal, loving and supportive husband, father and friend who affected many lives with his positive energy and infectious laugh. Jack was the absolute joy and light in his wife's heart. Survived by his wife Tahna Tyler; children Christy Knaub, Ashley Knaub, and Jacob H. Knaub; step-daughter Channing Clyde; sister Linda Jackson (Tim); nephews Matthew Jackson, Zachary Jackson (Elizabeth & Aramis) Luke Jackson (Alexandria & William).

The family would like to thank the staff at Huntsman Cancer Hospital, the University of Utah Neuro Critical Care Unit and Community Nursing Services for the excellent care they gave to Jack.

In Loving Memory

To the friends and family of Jack. The first time I had the privelege of meeting Jack, I knew he was an honest, sincere, and truly caring man. I want you all to know that in our business interactions it was truly a pleasure and reassuring to know that Jack was a man of his word. He will be missed without question. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. My heart felt sorrow, Todd Lowe - Banner Health

Jack was an amazing individual and will be missed. I looked forward to my yoga practice because I knew Jack would be there and he'd have a smile and words of encouragement for all. He always shared the fact that he loved his kids and that he was very proud of them. I'm grateful to have known Jack. My love to your family,

My family and I would like to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of your beloved Jacob. May you find comfort in your loving memories and the warmth of family and friends. A scripture that has uplifted me during times such as this is found at Revelation 21:4. There it describes a time when death and pain will be gone forever after God restores his original purpose for the earth. We will even see our loved ones again who we have lost in death (John 5:28 & 29). It is our hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time as well. Once again, please accept our condolences as you deal with your loss.
