Jaelyn Eriksson
July 23, 1957 - October 27, 2018
Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 27, 2018.
Jaelyn was born to Beth and Grant Cope on July 23, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up in a happy, loving home in Midvale with her siblings, attending Hillcrest high school.
In 1977 she married Joe Eriksson, and together raised three beautiful daughters in West Jordan. Among many ambitions and talents, Jaelyn accelerated at her career with Zellerbach Paper Co. where she was an outstanding sales representative for many years.
She had a zest for life and wonderful taste in fashion and design. She was well-educated and loved music, dancing, animals, the outdoors and gardening. In addition to her many athletic skills, which made her an accomplished bowler and softball player, she loved to cook, bake and all types of art and decor.
We will miss most her genuine caring, loving, nurturing, compassionate and empathic way she was a friend to all who she ever met. Her love of her children and grandchildren were her passion and life.
Jaelyn is preceded in death by her parents Grant and Beth. She is survived by three loving daughters Danielle (Chad) Bailey, Sammie Eriksson, Tori (Clint) Bowen; twelve fabulous grandchildren Colton, Paisley, Cassie, Cannon-ball, Antonio, Isaac, Cache, Alex, Baylee, Kyler and twins Arianna and Briella; her brothers Brent, Steve and Clint (Sherri); two sisters Nikki (Bob) and Linda (Tom); several nieces and nephews; and her beloved kitty Kiki.

“It is a beautiful day in Salt Lake City.”
This was a phrase spoken everyday from Jaelyn’s Dad, we believe she would like us to all try to find something cheerful and happy to say or not say anything at all!
Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Thursday, November 1st from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking provided.
We will miss you beautiful angel, fly free, until we meet again.
In Loving Memory
All my love to the Cope-Eriksson family. Jaelyn was a wonderful woman, I looked up to all my life. She taught me strength and optimism, even in the face of very difficult challenges.
