Jim went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2025, in Sandy, Utah. Born April 5, 1950 in Skaneateles, New York. He will be remembered for his friendliness, uplifting attitude, and willingness to help.
After high school, Jim enlisted in the Marines and proudly served his country for two tours in Vietnam between 1968 and 1971. After his service, Jim went to barber school in Washington, DC. Part of his 40 years barbering, he spent two years in Hawaii, thirty plus in Utah.
In 1999, Jim met Mu Lan in China and was married in the same year. Jim helped relocate all of the family from China through the years. He enjoyed baseball in his youth, watching sports, especially football, with the relatives, riding his bike, and cooking/BBQ his special dishes!
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Rosemary, brother John Raymond, and brother Doug Burlingame. He is survived by his wife Mu Lan of 24 years, and their sons: Nathan and Gabriel. He is also survived by his siblings: Adam (Linda) Heath, Frank Amos, Sandle Birum, Vicki (Gary) Andrello, Edward – Pete- James, Mike (Geri), and many nephews and nieces.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May, 20th, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the parking and entrance on the north side of the building.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May, 21st, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Starks Funeral Parlor.
Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 E 500 S, Salt Lake City.
