James Marshall Chappell Jr., age 55, passed away in the early morning hours of August 21, 2024; the victim of an automobile accident.
James, Jimmy, Jim, “Cowboy” was born March 24, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jacqueline and James Chappell. He went to Bell View Elementary School, Eastmont Middle School, and he graduated from Jordan High School. He was a jack (jackass) of all trades, could fix just about anything. He could build you a brick mailbox or fireplace, or a big block wall. He could tile your bathroom and replace your toilet. He was an excellent machinist and worked on large engines. He loved to hunt and fish and more recently, hike, looking for arrowheads. One of the funnest things he loved to do, was grow his daughter, Alexa, giant pumpkins! He had his problems, like most of us do, but he always took care of his family and friends. He was very close to his mom, a real mammas boy. The last few years since she has been gone were really hard on him. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Chappell, brother, John Dineen, and sister, Sandee Dineen. He is survive by his father James Chappell, brother, Richard Dineen, sister, Cindy Lloyd, sister, Shawna Mullins (Kim), twin sister, Kelli Kohler (Steve) daughter, Alexa Chappell, many nieces and nephews, and many many cousins.
In lieu of flowers you may contribute to his “Celebration of Life” party, date to be determined.

We are so sorry for your loss. We were so sad to here James had passed he has been a huge part of our lives for many years and it wont be the same without him. There are many people out here in the Basin that knew and loved him as well. He was hard not to love once you got to know him. His heart was bigger than life and as genuine as they come. I only knew James for a short time a short few years but loved him dearly he was always so funny and was always so good to his friends we will miss him dearly and are devastated he had to go in such a bad way after fighting cancer and winning the battle to lose to an auto accident is just heart-wrenching
