Janice Knickrehm
1925 – 2013

Janice Knickrehm was called home and back into the loving arms of Jesus and her loving husband "Gus" on January 23, 2013. She is survived by her six children, Matthew, Honore, John, Gene, Maggie and Gus along with their loving spouses, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, with one more great-grandchild on the way.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth. She is also survived by her many friends in the Salt Lake City and Bountiful communities she vibrantly lived in for the past 22 years. To Lucy, Gloria and the whole gang, she cherished her time together with you all and always looked forward to the next party at "The Left Fork Grill." Full of life to the end, reading any book she could get her hands on and doing her crossword puzzles daily kept Janice as "sharp as a tack". Janice was an actress and starred in 13 Theatre and made for TV movies including "Halloween IV", her first movie in 1995 and culminating with "Den Brother", her last movie in 2010, she could also be seen in billboard ads, commercials, and the television series "Touched By an Angel". Janice met the love of her life and her only "True Companion", our Dad Gus while they were both working for the CIA, Gus passed on January 21, 1990. Gus and Janice are together again and in each other's arms.

A memorial mass will be held for Janice on February 2nd, at 11:00 AM followed by a reception, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, Salt Lake City.

In Loving Memory

Grandoe, me and plenty of others will miss you dearly. It's terrible seeing you have to pass away like this, without getting to see you before it happened... But you'll live on forever in our hearts and I can at least see you in my dreams. Goodnight and goodbye Grandoe, you were an amazing and strong woman. I hope to see you in whatever after life awaits me after death. R.I.P

You were a strong witness in both our lives. First met you at a garage sale you were having. You said "God Bless You" when I paid for something. That simple statement led to prayer meetings at your house and a stronger involvement with the Church. You will be greatly missed. Condolences to your wonderful family., Darrell & Laurie Flint

I am so happy that I got to meet Janice via Honore'. What a wonderful lady! I enjoyed her wit and her kindness. She will be missed, but is truly an Angel now watching over her wonderful, wonderful family. I met several of her children and grandchildren, what a beautiful legacy. God Bless you all.

Blue Wild Indigo blooming in the Wichita, KS area since last week in April. After years of luiknrg the margins of a hay meadow finally made contact with the owner and she and I spent a recent afternoon walking and IDing plants. There were several patches of mature BWI that neither of us had seen from the road. Delightful find!
