Jason Davis

December 18, 1991 - April 5, 2015

Jason Davis

Jason was born December 18th, 1991 and went to heaven on Easter Sunday, April 5th, 2015. He was a Juan Diego Catholic High School alum. Jason attended the University of Utah where he graduated with honors in Computer Science and did research in natural language processing, machine learning and date mining. Jason found fulfillment in mentoring his fellow students and was a wonderful and well-liked teacher. Jason was an avid painter. He loved animals, hiking, comic books, video games, solving Rubik's cubes, and spending time with his family and friends, as well as his cat Oreo. He was a happy, wonderful young man who was taken from this life far too soon.

Jason's memory will be held in the hearts of his mother, father, sister, and three brothers, as well as his other family, friends, and colleagues near and far.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 10th from 6 – 8 PM, with a vigil service beginning at 7:00 PM at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, 3013 E. Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 11th at 2:00 PM also at the church.

In lieu of flowers, in memory of Jason, please donate to The Suicide Prevention Hotline and to Moms for Gun Sense in America.

We'll see you later, little brother!

I'm so sorry you are mourning the loss of Jason. I hope you can find comfort in Jesus' promise of a resurrection found at John 5:28. Please visit jw.org which is a Bible based site that has comforted me in so many situations and I believe everyone can benefit from it also. Again I am so sorry for your loss. I am so sorry and saddened to learn about Jason's passing. I was a teaching assistant with Jason two summers ago and remember him as a nice, talented, dedicated person. I will miss seeing him around campus. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
