JEANNE CLAIRE (JACKS) ROSS
1925 – 2010
Jeanne was born February 1st 1925 in Swissvale, PA to Mary Crosby and Claude G. Jacks. She died October 17th, 2010 in Salt Lake City after a short illness. She married her sweetheart John Ross, August 25th, 1946. They met while attending Pepperdine University after World War II.
Jeanne worked much of her married life as a draftsman, city planner, and real estate agent in Roanoke VA and Salt Lake City. She moved with her family around the country, while John pursued his career with General Motors and was supportive in every way.
Her love and support of her children and grandchildren was never compromised no matter how many mistakes we made. Jeanne was always very generous with her family and was always concerned about our needs rather than herself – to the very end.
Jeanne enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, a glass of wine and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by two sons Jeff (Kay) Ross of West Valley and Dave Ross of Tooele; two grandsons Dave Ross and Ryan J. Ross; and great granddaughter Raegan. She is also survived by good friend and caregiver Tillman Moore of Tooele.
She was preceded in death by her husband; infant son; and sister Shirley.
Friends may call upon the family for a visitation on Wednesday, October 20th, from 6 to 8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Jeanne will be interred beside her husband and sister on Friday October 22nd, in Santa Barbara, CA.

Dear Jeff, Dave & families, We loved John & Jeanne here at LeValley Adjusting. It brings a smile to my face to think of them. Their opinions of Utah politics, their compassion and sense of humor. They were an incredible couple, and they lived admirable lives. My deepest sympathy for your loss. Kitty LeValley
