Jeremy Thayne 'JT' Jones
December 16, 1980 - November 4, 2023
On the evening of Saturday, November 4th, Jeremy Thayne “JT” Jones lost his battle with addiction.
Anyone who knew JT knew that he had a huge heart. The love he had for his mother and best friend, Teresa, the many animals he rescued and his numerous buddies (that were like family to him) was unmatched.
JT was extremely charming. People were drawn to him. His laugh, his smile and his humor will be sorely missed.
He was born and grew up in St George, Utah, where he had a very adventurous childhood. When he was 12 years old, he moved to Bountiful, Utah, attending Viewmont and Mountain High school.
JT was very intelligent and passionate about many things. He loved watching the Niners, cheering for the Cubs and soaking up endless amounts of history and politics in his spare time.
Jeremy is survived by his mother, Teresa Covington; his brother, Jacob (Jodi) Jones and their three daughters: Abigail, Madison and Grace; grandfather, Robert Covington; aunts Bobbi Sevy (who was like a second mother to him growing up), Linda Williamson, Bev Armstrong, and many wonderful cousins. He is proceeded in death by his father, Kendell Jones; grandmother, Beverly Covington; and uncle, Gary Covington.
A celebration of life will be held on JTs 43rd birthday, December 16th from 1-3 pm at the South Davis Recovery Club located @ 220 W Center St in Bountiful.

Dear JT’s Family, I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing of JT. Please accept my most sincere condolences during this incredibly difficult time. JT was not just a friend, he was family to me, and his loss is profoundly felt. All though I didn’t know JT very long, we became very close friends very fast by being roommates. I will always cherish the memories we shared, and his kindness, warmth, and laughter will forever echo in my heart. His departure has left a void that words cannot adequately express. May you find strength in the love and support of friends and family as you navigate through this grief. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. With heartfelt sympathy, Dejay Himrod
