Jerry W. Lockhart
May 6, 1943 - July 31, 2017
Jerry passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Cancer. He was born May 6, 1943 to Bert W. and Vera Belcolori Lockhart in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jerry married the love of his life, Dorina Criquelion on January 10, 1964, and with that bond they had four children together: Tracy, Mark, Ryan, and Tony.
Many know Jerry for his love of hot rods, hot rod run’s, and land speed racing. His love of cars, designing, and building helped develop close honest relationships in the community with his own business, Lockhart Enterprises. Jerry completed two years of college at the age of 40, to insure he could run a seamless business. He also enjoyed learning about American History.
When he wasn’t busy building fast cars, you could find him with his first love; his family. He adored spending time with his grandchildren, children and his beautiful wife, of 53 years, and his best friend Scooter. Jerry enjoyed camping, the outdoors and exploring.
He was very proud to serve our country in the Army 101 Airborne from 1966 to 1968.
Jerry is survived by his wonderful wife, Dori; son’s Mark (Marie), Ryan (Tammy), Tony; 11 grandchildren; four Great grandchildren; one brother Jim (Jan) Lockhart; and many other family members that loved him.
He is preceded in death by both parents; his beautiful Daughter, Tracy; and his precious great granddaughter Nicolette.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Legion.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor 3651 South 900 East Salt Lake City, Utah. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building. There will be Hot Rod parking designated in memory of Jerry.

Dori. We went to school together. I've been thinking about you and Jerry a lot lately then got the sad news about Jerry from Carol Brown via her grandson. You two are too young for this and truly you both are the sweetest kids I remember. Wish I were there to give you a hug. Stay active and busy. Love Doris
