On the afternoon of July 26th, 2024, Jessie Derick Boyd passed away peacefully due to Alzheimers disease at St. Mark's hospital.
Jessie was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all. He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Jessie loved going for car rides and spending time with the family watching movies or going on vacations. He always loved to have $5 on it.
Jessie moved to Utah to be with his family and pick on his brother. He loved to tell stories about raising 10 kids and 6 of them wasn't of his own. He'd often talk about when momma said “Jump”, you reply with “how high?”. If not I'll take off my belt and whip your behind.
Jessie and his stories will be greatly missed by all.
A viewing will be on Friday, August 2 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, Ut. Guests are encouraged to use parking and entrance located on the north side of the building.
