Jill Bowlden

Our smart, spunky and hilarious sister Jill Bowlden was born October 30, 1979 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was a caring daughter, loving sister and the most Adoring Auntie. Jill left us October 27, 2021 of an anomaly from birth.

Jill loved her family and friends with a loyalty that few people possess. Jill’s witty humor and contagious laughter brought people together with a grace and charm that was hard to beat. Jill enjoyed time with her family whether we were gathered in the kitchen at Mom and Dad’s or up on the boat in Flaming Gorge, out to lunch or watching a scary movie. Her heart was tender; always finding joy in the simple things and pointing out small details that made people feel special. She was an avid reader and had a love of music, journaling and art. She was an intellectual and kept herself abreast of current events. Always fun to receive the best hand-picked cards from Jill in the mail; she never missed a chance to show her love. For a small woman she was a quick mover, not letting a moment go by without intent and a snappy dresser, always keeping up with current trends.

In her early life she attended Uintah Elementary then onto The Jewish Community Center where she acquired a love for learning. From there she attended Carden Memorial School where she met like-minded people. Jill graduated from Highland High School then onto Utah State, eventually graduating to Portland State University where she flourished in the big city with friends of all walks of life. Jill was open minded and accepted all people with the love of a big heart. She always gave more than she took. Being a hard and determined worker, she managed a popular Asian chain restaurant for the entire West Coast. Jill then followed her love for restaurant work throughout her lifetime with caring managers and staff. Her best friend in life was her mom; two peas in a pod, both had a love for classic musicals and period movies, alike in many ways and always looking out for each other.

Jill lit up a room like no other with her dazzling smile and cheerful eyes, she will be deeply missed by everyone she touched.

On Jill’s behalf, her family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the loving and skilled Nurses and Doctors of St Mark’s Hospital.

Jill was the loving daughter of Carolyn R Bowlden who preceded her in death. Jill is survived by her father Blaine and her siblings: Suzanne (Kent), Karin (Mark), Ann (Nick), and Tony. As well as her nieces: Ashley, Anna, and Kate and her nephews: Spencer (Jessica), Dallin, Eric, Davis, and Jeff. Jill was also A Great Auntie.

A casual gathering in the honor of Jill’s life will be on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. To protect our family we are asking you to please wear a mask.
