John W. Perryman III

August 9, 1950 - June 30, 2025

John William Perryman III — beloved father, grandfather, and friend — passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, at the age of 74.

Born on August 9, 1950, John lived a full life filled with passion, humor, and deep love for the people and things that mattered most to him. He was known for his kind spirit, his unwavering devotion to family and friends, his love of the theater, and his infectious enthusiasm for life’s simple pleasures.

John spent many years working as an actor in both film and stage productions. He was also a proud member of Local 99 and a dedicated contributor to the Capitol Theatre, where his commitment to the arts left a lasting impression on colleagues and audiences alike. For John, theater was not just a profession — it was his life’s passion.

Outside the spotlight, John cherished quiet moments with his family and found peace at his home in Gunnison, Utah. He found joy in four-wheeling along Skyline Drive, sharing stories, and simply being with those he loved most.

He is survived by his son, John Perryman; daughters, Hayley Perryman and Rayna Perryman; daughter-in-law; and his cherished grandson, Gavin Perryman. He was deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure.

A celebration of John’s life will be held on August 2, from 2 to 4 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Floral tributes in John’s memory may be arranged through Orchid Dynasty at 801-583-4754 or www.orchiddynasty.com
