Johnny Anthony Rodriguez

November 15, 1975 - March 18, 2021

My Life began on November 15th 1975. I was placed in the loving arms of my beautiful mother Carmen Granados. She raised me into the funny, handsome man, you have all come to love and adore.

Up until I was 2 years old I was my mom’s favorite, until my A1, my sidekick, my road dog, my best friend, my little big brother Ruben “Kuku” (Roseanna) Flores joined me. We were a force to be reckoned with. Until our crazy, loud, confident, fun, beautiful, little sister Elizabeth “Lizzard Lips” (Luciano) Archuletta showed up. We now had someone to torture, but boy did she prove us wrong.

We were blessed to grow up with many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. I share an exceptionally strong brotherly & sisterly bond with my Uncles Willie and Joey and Aunts JoAnn and Chantell. Uncle Willie, “Uncle Flanders”, Thank you for all of the hunting and fishing trips and for being a father figure in my life. Uncle Joey, “MoJoe”, I want you to continue to sit around a campfire and have a few cold ones for me. Aunt Chantell, “Sha-nock-wa” Thank you for being more than an Aunt and more like my big sister. I could always count on you, you never let me down. Remember, what’s yours is mine and what’s mine is mine. Aunt Joann, “Aunt Jo”, Sorry for always parking in your driveway and thank you for always making me breakfast.

As I travelled on the road we call Life, my personality and humor helped me form life long friends and endearing relationships with each and every one of you…yes, YOU!

In my late Childhood years, it was my Satini Family that led me to my best friend and brother, James Sundin and his family. We share a unique bond.

At the young age of 15, I had my first child a beautiful baby girl, Natalie. In 1995, I met and fell in love with Tonica and together we raised our three handsome sons; Victor, Michael and Diego. My youngest son, my miracle baby, Gabriel, was born in 1998. Kids, I need you to be strong. Know that I love you and I am proud of you. I will always be watching over you. Michael, stay out of trouble, keep your head up. Remember what I taught you in the gym to help you fight through life and stay on the right track.  Diego, stay strong, work hard and keep visiting our family and CUT YOUR HAIR!

As I was becoming an adult, a caring and loving father figure, Ramiro Granados, came into our lives and with him he brought us peace and happiness. He helped, mold, shape and guide us. “Gracias Por Todo, Ramiro!”

My token of love for all of you were the nicknames and funny phrases and relentless teasing, I expect all my nieces and nephews to carry on my tradition and visit my mom often. “Now, go brush your teeth!”

Nephews, whom I teased the most; Dom, get out of the room and get a girl! Elias, wear a condom and continue to work hard. Robert, continue to be who you are, don’t ever change and put a copy of Nikki Minaj’s album cover next to me.

Lou and Rose, I need you to step up and take care of my “Day ones”, loosen up and don’t take things so seriously all of the time. “You can’t be afraid your whole life.”

On March 18, 2021, I reached the pearly gates of Heaven and with open arms I was greeted by my grandparents, Willie and Elinor Salas, along with many aunts and uncles. Waiting vibrantly for me was two of my favorite cousins, Mark Velasquez and Mario Martinez Jr.

Come share memories, laughter and our wild and crazy secrets with my family. Details are below, don’t be late cause God put me to work and I have to be there by 7:00. See ya at the F.O.E.!

If any further questions, see my brother Luciano, aka, “Loogle”.

Friends and family may visit together to celebrate Johnny's life on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.

Johnny always had a weird nickname for everyone and loved to test people's patience but he always made them smile. His love for life and family was like nothing I've ever seen before and he lived his life unapologetic. Something I always admired about him. I will forever cherish our memories and laughs. Heaven is lucky to have you "Juan from Michocan" Rest in love! Carmen, Ruben, Elizabeth, Diego and the rest of the family I am sorry to hear of your tremendous loss. May he rest in peace.
