Jon Rhett Stuart
December 17, 1937 - April 18, 2008
Our Loving Dad: Jon left us on April 18th 2008 at his home in Centerville due to natural causes.
He was born December 17, 1937 in Salt Lake City to Madolyn and Woodrow Steuart. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force when he was 18 and proudly served our country in Vietnam and Korea. He retired from the military in 1976 as a Sr. Master Sergeant. Jon met and married LouAnn Jirvosky in 1958 and together they had three daughters all of whom survive his death: Roni (Jack) Samora, Vicki Stuart, Stevie (Mitch) Young.
He was a fun-loving prankster who always liked to joke and make others laugh. He was a good, kind-hearted person who helped anyone and everyone by giving anything he had to offer. He is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his girls, he leaves behind 7 grandchildren; 5+ great grandchildren; sister Cindy Haskins; brother Brad Steuart; and other extended family and many friends.
Friends are invited to a Wake in Jon’s honor on Friday, April 25th from 6 to 8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City where complimentary valet service will be provided. Burial services will be held with full military honors Saturday, April 26th at 11:00 AM at Centerville City Cemetery, 650 East 400 South, Centerville.
