Jonah Leavitt

December 16, 2004 - September 27, 2023

Jonah made his presence known on December 16, 2004, weighing under 3 pounds he was a fighter since day one and carried that beautiful trait throughout his life. Jonah enjoyed so many things skateboarding, snowboarding, writing lyrics and performing rap music, freestyling any chance he got, and hanging out with his friends.
When Jonah was little he loved to binge-watch movies with his mom. He loved her to cut or style his hair in the latest trend. He made his presence known and was the man of the house. You could always find him cuddled up to her…he is and always will be her JonahBug.

Jonah and his twin brother had a bond like no other, though polar opposites they shared ginormous hearts and relentlessly argued about who was taller, one minute apart Jonah was the little brother but not in height and boasted about it loudly.
Jonah took great pride in being True's big brother, showing him the ropes, teasing him constantly, and when no one was looking finally playing video games with the little brother who looked up to him proudly. He loved every opportunity to see his sister Tyler and catch her up on the latest in his life.

Makenna his big sister, best friend, and boarding buddy whether snow or pavement was always there teaching tricks, giving pointers, and picking him up if and when he fell. She sacrificed a great deal to help him accomplish and achieve his hopes and dreams and is a huge part of the man he would become. She is someone he looked up to and loved with all his heart. Their relationship could never be duplicated nor the bond they share ever be properly conveyed.

Jonah was always a lady's man, supported his sisters, wiped his mom's tears, and captured his girlfriend’s heart. He was loyal and kind and loved with all his might!!
He made the best of unfortunate events was quick to put a smile on your face and hid behind his. Up for adventures no matter when or where. Always ready to perform new songs and lyrics that he had perfected and continued to master his passion. Jonah’s family friends and girlfriend meant the world to him and he was never bashful about expressing it. He was silly fun charming and charismatic with a style of his own and his presence always known!!

Jonah is survived by his parents Sara Hale and Mark Leavitt's grandparents Veda Leavitt Jil Hale Jeff Hale twin brother Noah Leavitt and little brother True Leavitt. Sisters Makenna Fox and Tyler Shortino. His aunts, uncles, cousins, girlfriend and friends.
Although we are truly broken with heavy hearts we know Jonah would want you to celebrate his life, and remember all his accomplishments as well as share memories and stories about your journey with him.

In Loving Memory

My deepest condolences for you and your family.

nan, nan

I will not ever be capable of finding the words to convey how sorry, or devastated, or how heartbroken I am for this massive loss in your life that I am for you... And that's probably because a person is not meant to ease this magnitude of another's suffering with words, but with their actions: hugs, closeness, holding your hand and wiping away your tears... or making you laugh when all else is too much to bear... I cannot be there for those, but your children are. Your family is, also. You are a wonderful mother. A loving mom. When you speak of your babies, it is with the pride that only a present, adoring parent can articulate. My deepest, most heartfelt condolences, Sara. May you find peace through this in knowing that Jonah is right there with you, every step of the way.

I was one of Jonah's art teachers at Kearns. He was truly one of a kind. He brought a great energy, a big smile and was a joy to have in class. I'm glad I was able to know him, he'll be missed. Sorry for all our loss, and cherish the time we had with him.
