Joseph Bodell Allen

Our beloved father, brother, friend and grandfather passed away in the early morning of December 9, 2022.  He was 82.  

Joe was born November 8, 1940 in Logan, Utah to Brigham Dale and Elizabeth Fern Allen. He is named after his mother’s father, Joseph Bodell, who died before he was born. He attended South Cache High School where he played football, band (coronet), and hockey. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Great Lakes Mission. Joe earned degrees in finance and business administration from Utah State University and worked for General Motors Acceptance Corporation.

Joe is survived by his sweet companion, Connie Feil; his daughter, Veronica (Jon) Allen Stoltz and his son, Guy Gavin Allen; four grandchildren Spencer, Mason, Ryan, and Katherine Stoltz; and siblings Sherrie (Wilford) Forsberg, Brent (Nancy) Allen, Corey (Sidney) Allen. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bryant Allen, and sister, Ronda (Harry) Lee Wolford.

Joe will be remembered as a hard worker who would drop everything to help someone in need.  He was defined by his humor, humility, and honesty.

A graveside service will be on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Hyrum City Cemetery, 550 East Main Street, Hyrum, Utah.
