Joseph John Domingo Boitizon Gallegos
January 3, 2003 - January 6, 2021
On Wednesday, January 6th, 2021, Joseph John Domingo Boitizon Gallegos, adoring uncle, devoted brother, and loving son, left us at the young age of 18.
Joseph was the first-born son on January 3rd, 2003, in West Jordan, UT, to Ted and Cheryl Grace Gallegos. He was in his senior year at Westlake High School. Walmart was blessed to have him as a productive member of their team.
Joseph had a passion for history and politics. He planned on becoming a history teacher to emphasize the importance of kindness and equality among us. Joseph was an avid music lover from the legendary Beatles, BROCKHAMPTON, and even more in particular, Tyler The Creator. But not as much as he enjoyed and dominated the gaming world. His “Bow God-like” skills were a no match for any professional gamer. He spent hours in a day leading his “bow clan” while eating boxes of honeybuns.
Joseph was known for his trendy Golf Wang swag, and his beautiful contagious smile. He thrived in being a mentor to everyone around him, and was fueled by his desire to always help and lighten the load. His best moments were spent with his family whom he loved dearly. For the many of us, he turned into a real life hero, much like his personal superhero, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Joseph is survived by his father and mother, Ted and Cheryl, his five siblings; Mary, Christa, Delilah, Cheryl Ann Marie, and Ted Joshua, his niece and nephew, and the love of his life, Bailey.
Public is welcome to a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 9th, 2021 at 3261 South Village Parkway, Saratoga Springs, Utah 84045 where viewing will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy.
In Loving Memory
To Joseph's family, what a beautiful, young man you've lost. A life brimming with creativity, promise, love and affection, Joseph is every parent's child - with all who've suffered such momentous absence, recognizing the true gift he was to all who loved and cherished. With blessings and tons of love to those who shared in his brief but glowing existence. Peace.

My heart broke when I heard the news of Jospeh. I remember his contagious smile and fun energy, as if it were yesterday. He was a good boy, and I feel honored to have taught him in fifth grade! I will continue to pray for your sweet family during this difficult time. Love, Denise (Barney) Sperry

We had the pleasure of meeting the Gallegos family shortly after we first moved to our new home in Utah from CA. This was almost 13 years ago. It was our 1st winter ever, in a new home and a place, far from family and friends. While we're excited for our new home, there was a feeling of somber and loneliness. We reckon that's what it's like for most family, when you move far away from home, loved one's and friends. Not long after, we met this wonderful people, the Gallegos family, Ted, Cheryl and their beautiful children. They quickly made us feel right at home. We remember their love for singing and oh, such beautiful voices with amazing talents, playing different musical instuments. They made us laugh, inspired us and quickly made us all feel at home again. And then, there was their handsome playful son, Jonathan. He was just a little boy then, who had an awesome personality, talent and love for friendship and play. He was respectful, friendly, and kind. We knew then, our new home will feel like our old home, knowing there is a great and loving family with their beautiful children who is just next door from us. Jonathan, you may be gone, but you left us with great and happy memories of you and we appreciate you and your family, for helping make us feel at home again back then. We know you're now playing with angels and singing beautiful songs. Rest in peace you beautiful soul and may your family, the Gallegos family, continue living a happy, peaceful life and continue making beautiful memorable life while celebrating yours. I'm so sorry to see this Ted. I can't imagine the loss. I looked around, and I see he has your looks, and your voice. God Bless you all.
