Joshua Steven Mitchell (Jay) beloved father, son, husband, brother and friend, passed away on October 19, 2024, in his hometown of Tooele, Utah. Born on June 27th, 1994, to Robin and Steve Mitchell. Jay married his wife Morgan on January 30th, 2023, and had a loving ceremony to renew their vows surrounded by family and friends on June 8th, 2024.
Jay loved spending time with his daughters. His daughters loved to do his hair and put as many ponytails in it as possible, building Lego, playing cards, watching movies and jumping on the trampoline with him. He loved watching his daughters grow into the beautiful girls they are now. He loved his kids more than anything in this world. Jay loved being outdoors with his best friends, Troy (TJ), Sheldon (Country), Masten, Cash, Travis, and Chandler. Some of his favorite things to do with them were standing around big fires up in the mountains, listening to music, and talking about anything and everything they could think of. Jay also loved hanging out with his longtime childhood friend Joey and his family, and all of his other close friends.
Jay loved spending time with his Uncle Joe on the Ford Ranch. He would try to visit his Uncle Joe every weekend. He loved his mom and enjoyed teasing her, and she will miss him greatly. He always had a smile on his face and would give the best hugs when he saw his friends and before he left. jay was such a loving, sweet and kind person. He loved to play and snuggle with the many cats that his family had in this lifetime and the family dogs, Sam and Sebastian.
Jay was a talented mechanic, apprentice electrician, and welder. He could pretty much fix anything.
Jay is survived by his mom Robin Mitchell, his wife Morgan Mitchell, and his three beautiful daughters, Brixxion, Zoey and BobbieLynn Mitchell and his sister Mandi Mitchell. And many other uncles, aunts,cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Steve Mitchell and his Grandma and Papa Gerdes, and other family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 27th, 2024 at 2:00, in Stansbury Utah, across from the Stansbury Club House at the Pavillion. Address: 1 Country Club Drive, Stansbury Utah, 84074.
Jay will be remembered for his generous and loving spirit, his love of family, and his amazing smile and laugh. Jay, you will be missed. You will always be loved by so many. Rest easy now friend..
