Joyce Ann Senn

August 24, 1962 - March 27, 2026

Joyce Ann Senn was born on August 24, 1962, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Joyce left this earthly life on March 27, 2026, due to complications from cardiac arrest.

The pain of her loss is greater than we could have imagined, but we find comfort in knowing that God has made her whole again. The shackles of dementia have been removed, and she is now free to become the angel she was destined to be.

Joyce is now at peace in a beautiful place, surrounded by love, with strong arms around her to hold and comfort her.

There are hidden blessings in the many challenges life places before us. In Joyce’s case, had she survived, she likely would have faced increasing pain and suffering. In her final months, her balance had worsened, leading to several falls, and her memory care team had begun preparing for the possibility of a walker, and eventually a wheelchair. Living confined in that way would not have been the life Joyce embraced—she lived life fully and vibrantly.

In her final weeks, Joyce often expressed a desire to “go home.” Though she could not clearly explain what she meant, it felt as though she had found peace in knowing where she was going.

Our beautiful, witty, smart, and kind Joyce has now moved on to share her light with those who have gone before her. Before her passing, she gave the gift of sight by donating her beautiful eyes allowing another person to see the light while still living here. Her pure heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

My name is Larry McNeill, and I was one of those fortunate people. I had the honor of knowing Joyce for nearly 30 years. We were married on March 17, 2003, in Dublin, Ireland, and remained close even after our paths changed.

Joyce was a partner at the Orton Advertising Agency, where many clients sought her out because of her incredible personality, great sense of humor and ability to connect with others. She attended the University of Utah and was truly the life of the party. Her friends often shared stories of how she would pretend to have a microphone in her hand and bring energy and joy to any room she entered.

Joyce’s sweet smile could light up any space. She deeply loved Hope Church and her church community group, where she found connection, kindness, and unwavering support. Those around her showed Christlike love, and she felt that love every time she was with them. Joyce is survived by her two loving sisters. Sherri Senn (Bahr) and Jeannette Senn and several nieces and nephews living in Utah.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Hope Church 7984 South 1300 East Sandy, Utah.  With a Celebration of Joyce’s Life to follow at 4:30 PM at Willow Creek Country Club 8505 Willow Creek Dr, Sandy, UT.  Joyce loved everyone—please come and celebrate her life and say goodbye.
