Judith Belew

September 4, 1938 - November 17, 2016

As the last leaf fell and the first snow arrived in the Salt Lake Valley, Judith J. Belew (Judi), 78,  passed away. She was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur Wolfgram & Ruth McCauley Wolfgram. She spent many years in Bristol, Tennessee as the CFO of CaMac Corp. In 2002, she moved west to join her only son, Jason West, to become Gaboo (Grandmother Belew).

Once coming to the Salt Lake Valley, she joined the Catholic Church at St. Catherine's and soon after joined the staff where she worked for more than ten years. During her tenure there she became a loyal friend to many. She called those who were closest to her, "My Peeps." You know who you are!

We would like to thank Brookdale Senior Living, Brighton Home Health & Hospice, especially Debi and Kaitlyn, and the Caring Ministry of St. Catherine's.

Judi is survived by her son, Jason West; loving mother of Judi's grandchildren, Angela West; her grandchildren Joshua and Anna. She is preceded in death by parents – Arthur & Ruth, Norm Belew, and Jack West.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 21st at 6:00 PM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Newman Center, followed by a reception in the gathering space.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Judi's name may be made to Brighton Home Health & Hospice(1106 E. 6600 S. Ste 100 Murray, UT 84121) or the University of Utah Women's Gymnastics.

In Loving Memory

Jason, Angela, Josh, and Anna, Sincere condolences from all of us as you mourn the loss of such a lovely woman. You were all so very important to her. She was such a hard worker and always immaculately put together. What a lady! It was so nice to see her surrounded by her friends at the Newman Center. May the happy memories be of comfort to you all at this time of sadness. Love, Val, Justin and the girls

Just read, with sadness, of Judi's final illness and passing. We missed her at a Sept. reunion of the Dunkerton (IA) class of 1956. I have fond memories of overnight stays with her and admiration for her brain and organizational skills. Our small class of 25 is now sadly more depleted. Sincerely, an old friend, Marilyn
