Judith Christine Jensen Farnsworth

July 7, 1949 - July 11, 2020

Judith Christine Jensen Farnsworth passed away on July 11, 2020, at the age of 71, peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 7, 1949 to Thomas and Bonnie Jensen in Salt Lake City. She lived most of her life in Sandy, Utah. Her true passion was family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished her time spent with them. She was always quick with a smile or a funny face to bring a smile to another. She enjoyed capturing memories of her loved ones through elaborate scrapbooks. Judy was crafty at heart, from knitting towels to baking treats for special occasions. She often had a crafting project going. She was always welcoming and will be remembered for her kindness and witty sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her husband, Daryl Farnsworth, and her children, Erik Farnsworth (Kim) and Jill Bjers (Torgny), Chad Jacobson (Leesa), grandchildren, Nanda Scott, Michael and April Farnsworth, DeNelle and Rachelle Jacobson. She was sister to Margaret Ault Leonard, Thomas Jensen (deceased), Patty Cornwall, and Steven Jensen. Judy was Aunt, Cousin and Adopted Mom to many. 

Friends are invited to a celebration of life on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. To ensure compliance with current social distancing guidelines, we kindly ask that you call the funeral parlor at (801) 474-9119 to make a reservation for the time that you wish to attend (masks are encouraged). She will be laid to rest on Monday, July 20 at 11:00 AM at Elysian Burial Gardens.

I am so sorry to hear Aunt Judy passed away. I will always remember her as a kind, smiling, laughing lady. We enjoyed the many years of her Christmas candy and baked goods . . . Especially the cashew brittle (Tom loved it!)

I'm so deeply saddened to hear of Judy's passing. She was such an amazing women. She was genuinely one of the sweetest people I know and always made people around her feel comfortable. She knew how to put a smile on anyone's face with her skilled sense of humor. I'm going to miss her smile. I'm sending my love to all of you. You are in my thoughts.
