Judith Layne Palmer

March 3, 1951 - October 19, 2019

“Remember me with smiles and laughter; for that’s the way I’ll remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don’t remember me at all.”

Judith died peacefully in her home on October 19, 2019 in Draper, Utah at the age of 68.

Judith was born on March 3, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Doug and Violet Newton. She was married to her soul mate, Walt Palmer, for an amazing 49 years. She was, easily, THE best wife, mom, grandma and friend anyone could ask for. The ocean was her serenity. She loved cruises and vacationing with the love of her life. Gardening and Sunflowers were her favorite. Hallmark movies were enjoyed. That smile of hers was consuming.

Judith is survived by her husband, Walt Palmer; her daughters, Wendy Caldwell (Chris Caldwell), Joannah Sparks (Brandon Sparks) and Rachelle Doney; ten grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren; sister, Jan Wagaman and brother, Steve Newton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Virginia Newton; sisters, Jerry Bowman and Jill Leatham.

All are invited to celebrate Judith's life on Monday, October 28 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building.

Whatever you love us, we all love you one more. You will be deeply missed.

What a wonderful lady. Can you imagine the welcomes she's receiving? My heart goes out to you Walt and your great family. God has her making that chili verse for him. Prayers.
