Julie Ann Stauffer Millard
April 4, 1949 - November 18, 2017
The sadness we are feeling today is eclipsed only by the memories and love we have been given by a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, Julie Ann Stauffer Millard.
Julie was born the second daughter of six children to CSM Bryant E. and Mary V. Stauffer (aka Puff and Boots) on April 4, 1949. Julie grew up in Murray, Utah and attended local schools. However, she graduated from Frankfurt American High School while her family was stationed in the Army at Ray Barracks in Friedberg, Germany in 1967.
While in Germany, Julie met and fell in love with a dashing soldier of fortune, her Prince Charming, Sgt. Ron Millard. This loving courtship was interrupted when Ron was sent to Vietnam for what would be his first of two tours. They came together again in Hawaii-while Ron was on R&R-and were married. This union was blessed with a loving son and daughter, Charlie and Anna.
Julie lived and started each day in gratitude and love with her Ronald by her side. If we are to be charged to live our lives loving God and neighbor as ourselves, Julie would be that example for us all. Never in judgement or harsh words, Julie's kindness, prayers, and love touched everyone she ever met without question.
Their home was one of warmth and love; and upon entering you were met with smiles, kisses, and hugs. Decorated in all the trimming no matter what holiday, each day seemed special and celebrated to the fullest at the Millard's. Watching old movies, spinning 45 records, holding hands, and saying I love you are still in style at Julie and Ron's.
Julie was a devoted bus driver's aide in the Murray School District for over 30 years, serving the most fragile and special needs angels. Her understanding of these special children made her a standout among her peers and truly loved by those she served. That service and love extended to her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her love and pride in all of them will grow and be passed on to future generations by her incredible example.
While battling cancer for the second time and never allowing it to beat her, Julie was just shy of a week from the completion of her treatment when she left us in the early morning hours of November 18. She remained strong to the finish.
Julie, you are already so deeply missed; but knowing you are among those watching over us allows us to hold on to the love you shared, and treasure the time until we meet again! "I love you more!"
Julie is survived by her devoted and loving husband Ron Millard, son Charlie (Michelle)Millard, Anna (Matt) Harper, sisters Mary Eatchel and Lorie (Pat) Henderson, brothers Smokey (Kris) Stauffer and Steve(Susan) Stauffer, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two more on the way and many nieces and nephews . She is preceded in death by her father, mother, sister, Debbie Stauffer and brother-in- law, Neal Eatchel.
