June Trapp

June 27, 1918 - September 20, 2011

June Trapp

June passed away peacefully on September 20, 2011.  She was born on June 27, 1918 to Henry and Minnie Harbicht in Ingomar, Montana.  After high school she became a beautician and while working in a salon she met the love of her life, Ross Trapp.  They married and together they were in the beauty industry for many years, owning Hollywood Beauty Colleges and other related businesses until 1975.  They semi retired, and then bought Globe Travel which closed in 2008.  She was active in many Masonic organizations, and she attended the Christ Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Melba Childs; 6 grandchildren Jeff Childs, Greg Childs, Amanda Barney, Dana Tranel, Mikel Trapp, and Nicole Zupon; 15 great grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ross in 1983, and her son James in 2008.

Her last years were spent happily living at Alta Ridge assisted living in Holladay.  We want to thank everyone there for all the love and care they gave her, especially Cheri.  We also want to thank Millcreek Hospice, especially Christie.

June's services will be held on Friday, September 23rd at 12:00 noon at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East. Interment to follow at 2:00 PM at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South.

In lieu of flowers, please send a contribution to the Shriners Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City.
