After patiently waiting for 30 years, mom is finally reunited and dancing with dad again. 

Katie was born April 18, 1918 in Bingham Canyon, UT to George and Katherine Rubick.  She grew up in Park City and married Walt Palmer November 2, 1938.

Walt and Katie had eleven children.  Katie was the most loving and caring mother any of us could have asked for.  She was totally devoted to her family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Walt; infant son, James Walter; daughters Margo Bennett and Sheri Fazzio; sons-in-law Eddie Bennett and Rick Huber.

Survived by children Annette (Larry) Martin, Walt (Judy) Palmer, Carla Palmer, Roberta (Tom) McCormick, Kalani Huber, Melanie (Mike) Palmer, Jody (Londa) Palmer, Mark (Lisa) Palmer, Ron Fazzio; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A wake will be held on Monday, May 2nd from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 3rd at 12:00 Noon at St. Ann Catholic Church, 450 East 2100 South. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue & “T” Street.

Donations may be made in Katie’s memory to St. Ann School.

To our sisters Melanie, Kalani and Roberta who have, with the help of Dr. Mark and Alpine Hospice, allowed mom to remain at home with excellent care.  You are our heroes.  Thank you!

We love you, mom – until we are together again, sleep well.
