Kathleen Ann Clayton

April 18, 1958 - April 12, 2024

Our cherished grandmother, mother, sister, and friend. Kathleen Ann Clayton “Kathy” passed away peacefully in Cottonwood Heights in the comfort of her home surrounded by family on April 12th, 2024 at 65 years after losing her battle to cancer.

Kathy was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to her parents Lester and Rose Lentz. Kathy had moved a couple times, but her final destination was Salt Lake City, Utah. Kathy had worked for the phone company for over 35 years but retired in 2022. Kathy spent most of her days with her grandkids, if she wasn’t with them, she was with friends, traveling or taking her razor out on some amazing adventures. In her own words, she was crazy blessed.

Kathy was one of the wisest and kindest people in the entire world and she always had the best advice.
She is leaving behind her heartbroken family, which includes her daughter Nicholle Clayton, her grandkids Allissa Nipper, Anthony Nipper, Madyson Wilson, Mykenzye Wilson. Her siblings Tim, Tom, Steve, and Michaelyn Lentz. As well as her chosen family, Jeremy Nipper and Jesse Nipper.

A viewing will be on Monday, April 22 from 6-8 PM where a rosary will begin at 7:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East. Guests are encouraged to use parking and entrance located on the north side of the building. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 23 at 12:00 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights. Kathy will be laid to rest on Thursday, April 25 at 2:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy.

In Loving Memory

I'm so sorry for everything your going through, there are no words that could help heal your pain. Just know I'm here for you if you need anything, it's ok to cry and it's ok to not be strong. That's why you have us.  Love your face

Thinking of you No one else can truly feel the sorrow that you bear, But may it help  somehow today to know that others care... And may it help to ease your lost and bring some comfort, too. To know that many thoughts are there in sympathy with you..  I'm here for you when you need me.                   Love you!!

Oh, my heck! This was very shocking for me! She was a friend and we helped her several times! I had no idea of her health issues! May God be with her Family and comfort them at this devastating moment! We are so sorry to hear of you're loss!!

Kathy will be missed. Even though we worked together for years, it was the Grandfamilies events where I got to know Kathy and her beautiful grandchildren the best. The support she provided was invaluable.

I'm so very sorry for your great loss. I worked with Kathy for many years and we had a lot of great times. She was always positive and always spoke her mind - which sometimes "stirred the pot" but, it was usually about subjects that most of us were afraid to ask...but, she definitely wasn't. she was always there for her family and friends and always worked hard for them. I will miss her a lot. Sending all of my love to everyone she touched.

Dear Steve, Mike, Tim and Tom, I am so very sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. I have so many wonderful childhood memories of all of us having fun together: vacations, time at Dad and Mom's cottage, getting into mischief. I am praying for all of you. Much love, Cathy Paquette Tackett
