Kathy was born September 13th, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She passed peacefully in the early morning of December 9th, 2008 after a short battle with cancer.
Kathy was a proud graduate of Skyline High in 1966. Since that time she has enjoyed numerous hobbies including crocheting, reading, and poetry. She was also an avid bowler. Kathy was a very devoted mother to her two children. She dedicated her life to their happiness and well-being. She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children Tracie (Mike) Schooley, Daniel (Ember) Folland; grandchildren Justin and Tanner Schooley; siblings Steve (Julie) Griffiths, Barbara (Nick) Mandano, Nancy (Dave) Nell, John (Joylyn) Schacht and Don Schacht.
Kathy was greeted by her parents Ralph and Lola Griffiths; grandson Devin; and best friend Margie.
Friends and family may gather to celebrate Kathy’s life on Monday, December 15th from 6 to 8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 16th at 1:00 PM at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine St., Murray.
