“Until We Meet Again”
Our loving wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend passed away peacefully, in her sleep on March 27, 2013. She was taken from us way too early.
Katherine Jean Tadlock was born to Carl and Phyllis Jean Tadlock on March 6, 1949 in Pocatello, ID. Kathy married the love of her life, Rick Pringle on August 23, 1974. Her family was most important to her and she loved having everyone over for dinner, especially on Sunday. Loving her grandchildren and watching them grow was her life. Her family enjoyed many activities together, including softball tournaments, Harley rides, attending dance competitions, and camping. She was the glue in our family that kept all of us together.
She is survived by her loving husband Rick; her mother Phyllis (Ted) Nye; her mother-in-law Amy (Herb) Rasmussen; daughters Christy (Dennis) Johnson, Kari (Scott) White; son Nick (Melissa); grandchildren Whitley, Danyelle, Alexis, McKenzie, Jeffrey, Justin; siblings JoAnne Sokol, Michael (Wendy) Tadlock; sister-in-law Sherry (Dennis) Atkinson; brother-in-law Larry (Barbara) Pringle; and numerous close family and friends.
Preceded in death by her father Carl Tadlock, Grandma and Grandpa Denkers, and her father-in-law Harold Pringle.
Friends are invited to a Celebration of Kathy's life on Monday, April 1st from 6:00 until 8:00PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 2 at 1:00PM at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Redwood Rd., Bluffdale.

Kathy was a unique and wonderful woman. I know the loss you feel, but you have so many wonderful memories and pieces of her throughout your lives. I worked with Kathy and I always loved my interactions with her. She always had a wonderful story and her humor was like no other. Know that she will be remembered by hundreds of people. She is one I will never forget.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is good, I mean seriously good., 16 May 2012ByJulie-Dawn Parry Jules the witerr (manchester UK) See all my reviewsAmazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)This review is from: With a Closed Fist: Growing Up in Canada's Toughest Neighbourhood (Paperback)This book is good, I mean seriously good. The voice of young Kathys is unique and for me,(and I suspect for most people) so is her story. It's a moving and thought provoking account detailing her earliest childhood memories. This book will make you weep for a little girl who had to survive the hand she was dealt in Point St Charles But be ready to laugh out loud at some of her thoughts (especially when she meets Mr Levy), her interpretations (Is he asking me if I fuck my relations?) and (more often) her deeds.Yes, it's a story of poverty but more than anything its a story of family loyalty and a deep bond with her sisters. A tough but surprisingly innocent kid in an even tougher environment Kathy isn't looking for pity and that becomes obvious immediately. However she paints a vivid picture of the slum conditions she grew up in, of going to bed hungry night after night, of having very few possessions (you can only carry so many bin bags when you move house in the middle of the night)of a largely absent but much loved father, as well as a lack of basic underwear. Its a well written book, Kathy Dobson doesn't over dramatise the events taking place in her childhood but every chapter grips the reader and you really do want to see what happens next' so don't start this book too late in the evening, you won't sleep until you know.Young Kathys' voice will stay with me for quite some time I suspect my fear of sitting on the loo will too.
